I began my counseling career in ministry and use this background to integrate spiritual principles into helping clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their partner and other important people in their lives. I offer private counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups.

I have a Master of Arts in Counseling from Amberton University and a Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. I am credentialed as an LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor) and LPC-S (Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor). Both of these credentials are licenses from the State of Texas. I maintain LPC licensure in Colorado, Arkansas, and New Mexico. In addition, I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT-C) and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

I provide direct, insightful feedback that allows a client to confidently learn to manage their own lives in a healthy and productive way. I enjoy working with clients who take responsibility for their own behaviors and are willing to look at where they are called to grow. I understand the role of spirituality in counseling and psychology. I also understand the difference between spirituality and religiosity. My wide life experience is my greatest asset to offer to clients. This experience serves the client well as we address the concerns and issues that the client faces.

I begin with a family systems perspective. We are products of the system we come from and it is critical to understand the influences of these systems. From this basis, we can begin to address the client's concerns from an eclectic perspective.
